Lord knows why West is doubling 5C, but look at the typically wretched GIB definition: "8+ HCP; 8- total points".
Not only is it the completely useless garbage that we always expect from a GIB definition. Not only does it tell his "partner" NOTHING useful. Not only does it show that, as usual, the author of these pathetic GIB definitions has some ridiculous idea that POINTS are the only things that matter.
It also shows - for maybe the ten millionth time - that the author of the always execrable GIB definitions has absolutely NO understanding WHATSOEVER of "total" points, because he once again gets things totally bass-ackwards when he states that the HIGH-card points are 8 or MORE, but the "total" points are 8 or LESS. Talk about putting ignorance on public display!
And, to add to the laughter, note that West does NOT have the "8+ HCP" promised by the joke of a definition: He has a mere FIVE!

4D: Silly bid. Yes, he has a stiff diamond and four spades. Whoopy-doo. He ALSO has a dynamite source of tricks with his heart suit...AND he's WASTING several levels of bidding space that COULD be used SCIENTIFICALLY by making his silly jump from ONE spade to FOUR diamonds in an UNINTERRUPTED auction!

As Asbell pointed out in his comment on the linked thread, zero is indeed an even number, so we can't say the robot is incorrect on the first board, but the robot DOES commit one of his USUAL sins on the second board. I agree with Svengolly that regardless of result the robot should NOT be bidding game after his partner South has rejected his game try. If the robot's intention was ALWAYS to bid game, he should have just leapt to it after his partner's first raise. Alternately, once he chose to instead make a game try, he should have respected his partner's opinion - again, REGARDLESS of what the result turned out to be.
The robot's bidding on the second hand was completely inconsistent and his 4S call was a slap in the face to South, proving that the GIBBO robots are horrible PARTNERS in addition to being horrible at bridge.

MANDATED auction which exposes the IMBECILIC bidding of GIBBO and the always WRETCHED GIB definitions of the clearly unqualified author who wrote them.
Why would anyone EVER bid that ridiculous 3H? Note that North does not even come CLOSE to his own GIB definition of "4- diamonds" (since he has SIX of them!) or "6+ hearts" (since he has only FOUR of THEM!).
THEN, after a trusting South raises 3H to 4H, North bids 5D...which SHOULD be a cuebid in support of hearts. Of course, the numbskull is actually RUNNING from hearts to diamonds, which should NOT work, because South SHOULD interpret 5D as a CUEBID for hearts and therefore shoudd NOT pass.
BUT...South - INEXPLICABLY (!) - DOES pass! If a HUMAN partnership had this auction, they would be accused of cheating!

Why is East bidding 2S? Yes, I see that he has a decent 11 HCP. I also see that he is a pancake flat 3-4-3-3 and that his "partner" West is a passed hand.
Why is North bidding 3D...directly...in NON-passout position...vulnerable...when he has only a stiff spade, the suit his partner has emphasized?
Note also the typically ridiculous and useless GIB definition of 3D, which obviously thinks it would be PERFECTLY fine to bid 3D with as FEW as four diamonds and as little as ZERO (!) HCP (since the typically LAZY and VAGUE definition says the bid shows "11- HCP", which literally means zero to eleven).

Surely North should bid 4D rather than 4H. Yes, I am well aware that a heart slam is bad in theory on this random layout and will not make in practice, but if North CORRECTLY bids 4D, it does not FORCE us to a doomed slam. However, a CORRECT 4D call will probably get us to a GOOD...or even COLD 6H when it's RIGHT to be there!

I scored a lousy 28.57 % on this board for making...ALL 13 TRICKS (!)...in 3NT IN THE HIGHEST-SCORING STRAIN (!)...despite NOT having the ACE...AND...KING (!) of spades!
I thought that was kind of STRANGE!
Consequently, I checked the results. Here, in post 3151, i will provide a link to my table. Then, in the two posts (3151 and 3152) immediately following this one, I will show what happened at two OTHER tables, and you will see WHY I got this VERY strange low score. The killing spade lead was not found, so NS made all 13 tricks.

What I WILL criticize, as I have often done before, is the always hopeless GIB bidding structure for 2C openers. Whoever designed this hopeless GIB system would probably have made a better bricklayer than bridge system architect, because his entire GIB system stinks.
Note the laughable bidding by the braindead GIBBO numbskull in the North, as HE decides to be the CAPTAIN on the hand! The clueless piece of trash LEAPS to 4NT over South's 3D. Besides the insanity of wasting almost two complete levels of bidding space, and besides the ludicrous decision to make his WEAK hand the CAPTAIN, how the HELL is South's Blackwood response - WHATEVER it will be - going to help North INTELLIGENTLY find the best contract? Note that the M.O.R.O.N. has NO first-round controls and only one second-round control. He has length in BOTH black suits...and his HIGHEST card in each is a JACK!

Here, the NS pair - on a highly questionable bidding sequence by the human South, and a typically INSANE leap to 6NT by the always worthless GIBBO piece of trash in the North - get to 6NT...MISSING the CASHABLE AK of spades.
Here, as opposed to the previous table where NS bid 6D, they are NOT lucky, because HERE the hand with the AK of spades was...on LEAD...against...SIX NO TRUMP!
So, West DOUBLED the unmakeable 6NT and BEAT IT ONE TRICK ON THE FLY, right?
Wrong. He did NOT double. He passed, despite KNOWING that he would beat the contract.
Well, okay fair enough: Maybe he was afraid that if he doubled, they would run to 7C or 7D and make it if his partner did not guess to lead a spade. Makes sense.
So, the final contract was 6NT by South, with West (who held the AK of spades) on lead. NS would go down one, for minus 100, and get a well-deserved LOUSY score for their hopeless bidding. Right?
Well...uhh...no. NOT right...because NS...MADE (!) 12 tricks (!), MADE 6NT (!), and scored 100 % on the board!
What the...??? How on EARTH did THAT happen?
Well, West led the ace of spades from AK105. Good start! However, at trick two, he....SHIFTED (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to the 7 of hearts (!) and declarer had ALL the remaining tricks! (He actually had THIRTEEN of the remaining TWELVE tricks: 6 diamonds, 5 clubs, and 2 hearts.)
THIS is how STUPENDOUSLY bad the GIB/GIBBO robots are. THIS shows why the NAME for these HOPELESS pieces of junk is the most INACCURATE name EVER! GIB laughably stands for "Ginsberg's INTELLIGENT {!!!)} Bridgeplayer" (sic), while these pieces of dirt are actually less "intelligent" than a dish full of soap scum and breadcrumbs!
And BTW, if there are still ANY naive, misguided souls who are STILL wandering the streets screaming that the wretched GIB/GIBBO robots are "better than most human players", I suggest that they stare at the linked hand diagram and KEEP staring at it until they have MEMORIZED tricks one and two!
