Benellis58 GIB bashing on repeat Groundhog Day

West "earns" himself yet another complete zero with his alarmingly stupid lead of the ace of hearts. Why on Earth would anyone, even a terminally unintelligent, nauseating GIBBO robot like North, lead a HEART on THIS auction? They are so bad, so unrelentingly bad. They are garbage, nothing but garbage.

Trust me: I could continue writing this thread for the next ten thousand years and I would never run out of GIBBO atrocities to report.

Before bidding 3D over East's 2D opener, I checked to see what a FOUR diamond call by me would mean. The GIB definition greatly entertained me, because I am a big fan of great COMEDY: "27+ HCP, forcing to 4NT". Oh yeah, that's REALLY useful, REALLY descriptive, and says SO much about the hand. Plus, I bet it comes up REALLY often, because we all get SO many hands SO often with 27 or more HCP.
Seriously, why would ANYONE create such a ridiculous, useless definition?

How could they NOT be? Their system is an antiquated, illogical joke. Their definitions are unfailingly pathetic. They are the worst "defenders" I have ever seen. They WOULD also be the worst opening leaders, except for the fact that their immediate predecessors, the laughable GIB robots, were even worse.
Thus, declarer play is by default the "best" part of their sickeningly horrendous game...but it does NOT mean that they are GOOD declarers. As an example, watch East, a typically oblivious GIBBO piece of trash, butcher this simple hand:
He wins dummy's diamond ace at trick one. At trick two he leads a spade (trump) to his ace...and discovers that his LHO South is void. No problem, because his RHO North only has the Q10 doubleton remaining, so East can return to dummy and lead a second spade to pick up the trump suit without a loser. To his credit, the robot realizes this (as even a raw beginner probably would - but, credit where it's due, at least the robot - like the raw beginner - DOES realize it).
But the ignorant STOOGE returns to dummy with the WRONG suit! The stunningly incompetent C.R.E.T.I.N. plays a DIAMOND to dummy instead of CORRECTLY playing a HEART. Imbecile!
He wins the diamond and pulls trump, fine...BUT when he then BELATEDLY leads a heart, I duck. He wins dummy's king, ruffs a diamond back to his hand, and leads a SECOND heart...but I NOW pop my ace and play a fourth round of diamonds, which he ruffs in his hand. He has BELATEDLY established dummy's heart queen as a winner - which would give him a very useful club pitch - but due to his earlier stupid, STUPID play, he cannot get to dummy to enjoy his queen of hearts. He plays a couple of spades for practice, but then at trick 12 has to lead a club from his K8 dub and of course loses both of them. He makes ONY 10 tricks instead of the EASY 11 that ANY competent declarer would have made. All the imbecile had to do was lead a HEART at trick three (NOT a DIAMOND like this incompetent bozo stupidly did!). South would probably correctly duck, but EVEN if he did, big deal! Dummy would win with the king or queen, and declarer would take the marked spade hook, pull trumps, and then lead a second heart towards dummy. He would score TWO heart winners, allowing for a club pitch, because he would not have LOCKED HIMSELF (!) OUT OF HIS OWN (!) DUMMY by STUPIDLY removing its entry with that fatuous DIAMOND at trick three.
So, yes, declarer play IS the best part of the robot game, but even at declarer play, the GIBBO robots are lousy - as this hand shows! GIBBO robots rot!

I've asked this question before, but it bears repeating " How many DOZENS (or maybe HUNDREDS) of times WERE these GIBBO jackasses dropped on their heads as infants?

Trick five: The worthless GIBBO dirtbag in the West proves that he's as big a bonehead as his partner: The ignorant and COWARDLY fool stupidly plays his club 10 rather than the correct 5.
Please get rid of the GIBBO robots (and, of course, their hopeless system and pathetic definitions). They are useless, worthless, and hopeless. They are an embarrassment to bridge and to BBO, and they are an insult to BBO players, members, and customers. Please replace these failures with DECENT robots.

Here's a hand where it did not work out well. Once I opened, we were slated to do poorly on this hand, so the fault is all mine, not my robot "partner's".
BUT, having said that, the purpose of this essential thread that Diana so wisely created and titled back in August 2025 is NOT to bash myself or any other human. The title Diana assigned to the thread, which I consider to be its mission statement, is "Benellis58 GIB bashing on repeat", so...let's get to work on our MISSION and do some GIB bashing!
North's initial pass was fine. His 1S response was fine. His 2H call was fine. His balancing double of East's 3C was fine. So far, he's doing...well, I guess we could say..."fine" (chuckle).
But GIBBO robots are absolutely HORRENDOUS players - by FAR the worst that I have EVER seen in many decades of playing bridge, so...DUH...they CANNOT stay "fine" forever, and so...
When I bid 3H over North's double of 3C, the absolute M.O.R.O.N. stupidly raised to 4H. This might not even have cost much, because 3H would have scored poorly anyway, but his raise was a testament to his overwhelming, total lack of intelligence or judgment. He had already SHOWN his hand. End of story!
