I played this hand in 3NT, which, as you can see, is the PERFECT spot. On a club lead, we have 11 tricks, as clubs are stopped with JX in the South hand and QXX in the North. On any other lead than a club, we have 12 top tricks. Yes, 3NT is the PERFECT spot.

The GIBBO robot on my left, stupider than a bag of wet sand (just like ALL of his disgusting GIBBO brethren), made a typically perverse, illogical, and M.O.R.O.N.I.C. lead: his stiff 3 of hearts. Words do not exist that are capable of adequately describing how loathsome and wretched these GIB/GIBBO robots are.

I took the obvious 12 tricks and figured that I'd get a good score. After all, I had taken the maximum possible number of tricks and in the highest scoring strain.

When I saw my score on the board, it was quite a surprise: 21.4 %! WHAT? I don't check all the hands that I play, but THIS one I had to look into! Here's the COMEDY that I saw:

The board was played 15 times. Of those...

NS played 6H eleven times...and MADE (!!!) it all eleven times (!), taking exactly TWELVE (!!!) tricks each time. Those pairs each scored 64.3 %.

My pair was the only one to play in the BEST (and SAFEST, since even RUFFS could not hurt us) contract of 3NT, where we took 12 tricks and scored ONLY (!) 21.4 % (!) on the board.

Three NS pairs CORRECTLY stopped in 4H (correctly for a HEART contract anyway). Each made the NORMAL eleven tricks. They scored 7.1 % on the board, and might have been as mystified AND disgusted by their score as I was.

At the ELEVEN tables where NS bid the DOOMED 6H, West was on lead with the...ACE...AND KING (!!!) of clubs. He led the king and East correctly played the 2 from 1032, whereupon West...SHIFTED (!!!!!!!!!!!)!

Is there anyone...ANYONE still SO naive and deluded that they STILL claim that these GIBBO pieces of absolute DIRT are "better than most human players"? ANYONE?

At the bottom of this post is a link to the board at my table, where, based on the auctions at ALL other tables, we should have scored 100 % on the board, but - "thanks" to the GROSS ineptitude of GIBBO - scored only 21.4 %.

In post 3083 immediately below this one (3082), I will give a link to what happened at one of the 11 tables where NS bid the "impossible" (against ANYONE but a stinking GIBBO robot!) 6H and made it. Those 11 pairs should have had a tied BOTTOM, but thanks to the GROSS ineptitude of GIBBO they had a tied TOP.

I won't bother showing a table where NS correctly stopped in 4H, but I will express my sympathy to them, because they should have had the second-BEST score on the board, but "thanks" to the GROSS ineptitude of GIBBO, they had the WORST score.

GIB/GIBBO is an embarrassment to bridge and a repulsive, ugly stain on the game.

As usual, a silly, abnormal, perverse lead from the piece of GIBBO trash in the West. The ignorant fool thinks that the best thing he can POSSIBLY do is to lead his stiff 3 of hearts INTO the declarer who has shown four or five hearts.

Then later, his equally M.O.R.O.N.I.C. "partner" in the East RUSHES to cash his king and queen of hearts - oblivious to the fact that by so doing, he is setting up my 9 and 10 as winners.

What happens is what you EXPECT to happen when these repulsive GIBBO C.R.E.T.I.N.S. "defend": They treat themselves to yet another complete zero. When will these useless, nauseating clowns be sent to the junkyard where they belong? When will they FINALLY be replaced by some of the DECENT robots that DO exist in 2026?

Also, with six STRONG spades and "only" FIVE...MUCH WEAKER...hearts, why does North BEGIN his sequence by FIRST transferring to HEARTS and only LATER showing his spades? Perhaps because these GIBBO monstrosities look at everything in a completely bass-ackwards way. GIB.GIBBO sucks pumice. It is the WORST.

The GIBBO system stinks. I know: not exactly a new revelation! The definitions of 2H and 3H are also both silly, because I don't see why South is limited to holding only "two hearts". For the record, I passed over East's 1S, because I was well aware that my "partner" was an incompetent madman (by definition, since he's a GIBBO robot) who is prone to GROSS overbidding and who rarely shuts up. I feared that if I bid 2H the nitwit would zoom us into the stratosphere, and I figured that if he had ANYTHING, he would bid again anyway. Then when West's 1NT came back to me in the passout seat, I figured that I could now SAFELY bid 2H, because since I had earlier PASSED over East's 1S, my imbecilic "partner" NOW might not BURY us.

West doubled 2H, PRESUMABLY (?) for penalty, since the always execrable GIB definition claimed that it showed "11 HCP" AND "biddable hearts"...and ALSO "1- spade" (his "PARTNER'S" suit!). If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a ...DUCK, so THIS was PROBABLY a PENALTY double...but I'm only saying "probably" (not "definitely") because the piece-of-garbage GIB definition, as is SO often the case with this typical GIB trash, does not even answer the BASIC question of what the double is supposed to be! Penalty? Takeout? "Cards"? DSI? WHATEVER? The author of these always miserable GIB definitions is so incompetent that his typically useless definition does not DEFINE what the double IS! Why didn't he hire a ghostwriter to do this key job that he was obviously one hundred percent INCAPABLE of doing, as his repellent GIB definitions consistently demonstrate?

And by the way, West does NOT have "11 HCP" - he has 10. And he does NOT have "1- spade" - he has a doubleton. GIB definitions stink. The GIB system stinks. GIB/GIBBO robots stink.

North decides to RUN (?) from the TWO level in hearts to the THREE level in clubs, and even when I go BACK to hearts AFTER this, the GIB definition of my 3H call NOW states...more ridiculously than EVER that I have ONLY "two hearts". Open up ANY GIB definition, and EXPECT to see the worst garbage you have EVER seen!

West doubles again, SURELY a penalty double by now, even though, as expected, the ASTOUNDINGLY incompetent and useless GIB definition still FAILS to specifically say what the double IS! The OBVIOUS first objective of ANY definition is to...DUH...define (!), but that self-evident concept is apparently something the creator of the overpoweringly useless GIB definitions never learned!

Frick and Frack end up "defending" 3H doubled and emerge with yet another zero for their massive collection of failures - a collection that has made them and all GIBBO robots the laughingstock of the entire bridge world. GIB/GIBBO rots. GIB/GIBBO is the worst there is, the worst there was, the worst there ever will be (to turn Bret Hart's famous catchphrase around).

East balances with 1NT. Far from the worst call of all time, but I think double would be more appropriate, given that he has support for all three of the remaining suits and he has only a single club stopper. It's the combination of those two factors that makes double preferable.

Another 100 % for us, another zero for Frick and Frack, so I'm not complaining about the result, but I am complaining about GIB's typically silly use, misuse, non-use, and abuse of Stayman. I think it's clear for North to bid Stayman on this hand, rather than passing as he did. Will bidding Stayman with a hand such as North's ever work out poorly? Of course it will, but I think far more often it will work out well. The trouble is that a GIB robot CAN'T bid Stayman with this type of hand, because of the absolutely horrendous bidding system that GIB has saddled its robots and users with. It's hard to believe that the useless GIB system was EVER good - even back in the antediluvian days when GIB was born.

The GIBBO dimwit in the West makes a typically stupid, abnormal, perverse lead. The M.O.R.O.N. opts for a CLUB from his FOUR-bagger headed by the JACK rather than a diamond from his FIVE-bagger to the KING. I'm sure that anyone with eyes and ears has known for a long, long time that the GIBBO robots absolutely STINK at bridge, but maybe not everyone knows how MUCH they stink. Well, look at North on the linked hand.

The WINNING action for him on THIS random board would have been to double 4S, but he chose to bid. Okay, that could sometimes be "right" on some layouts, so I won't excoriate him for choosing to bid rather than to double.

BUT...this ASTOUNDINGLY stupid GIBBO I.D.I.O.T. had the AK654 of hearts and the 10982 of diamonds, and because he is a TRULY disgusting and hopeless piece of JUNK known as a GIBBO robot, he bid five...DIAMONDS!

You read that right, folks: The GIBBO piece of dirt chose to bid his FOUR-card "suit" headed by the TEN (!)...in preference to his FIVE(!)-card suit headed by the ACE-KING...and in so doing, just in CASE we had eleven tricks and would MAKE a five-level contract, this C.R.E.T.I.N. bid the LOW-scoring MINOR in preference to the HIGH-scoring MAJOR.

And...of COURSE...he did not even adhere to his own GIB definition of 5D, which stated that his monstrously stupid bid showed "5+ diamonds."

Never in my many decades of playing bridge have I EVER seen a player even CLOSE to being as sickeningly, DISGUSTINGLY bad as these GIB/GIBBO pieces of garbage.

I have known since the first time I ever played with or against them that they are absolutely hopeless in EVERY way, and yet, even armed with that OBVIOUS knowledge, I get surprised by them EVERY SINGLE DAY, as they continually find new and creative ways to scrape the bottom of the barrel even further.

If the creator of the GIB universe intentionally set out to create a horrendous system, atrocious definitions, and the worst "bridge players" of all time, then I congratulate him, because he succeeded admirably.
