Another absolute joke of a "defence" by two braindead GIBBO robots. Frick and Frack have gone home in disgrace, so here we have the longstanding GIBBO "partnership" of The Two Stooges (Johnny Halfwit in the West and Donald J. Dumbo in the East).

West begins by leading a diamond rather than a heart, a choice that FEW actual BRIDGE PLAYERS would agree with. His silly lead allows declarer to play diamonds for three tricks (when Dumbo plays the JACK rather than the 7)...but the horror show has only begun. Declarer ducks a club to Dumbo, who fails to find the superior heart shift, and instead plays a highly ineffective spade jack. It later becomes even LESS effective when, at trick eight, Dumbo STUPIDLY pitches a...SPADE (allowing declarer to win ALL FIVE of his spades!). And what card did Dumbo feel that he HAD to keep instead of his SPADE GUARD? Why, the TOTALLY useless LOSING three of diamonds, of course. Maybe Donnie was too busy concentrating on when he should freshen up his makeup.

How do you spell "garbage"? One possible answer is: G...I...B. Another is G...I...B...B...O.

Strange 1NT bid by North as a...PASSED HAND. In the execrable joke of a system that GIBBO foists on its poor robots and also on the innocent humans who play, 1NT is not forcing by a passed hand.

I have often seen the useless GIBBO robots bid two over one as a passed hand with hands FAR weaker than what North has here, so I'm not criticizing his choice of bid, but I AM criticizing his laughably pathetic lack of consistency. GIB/GIBBO is just plain BAD in almost every way. It should be destroyed and replaced by decent robots, a decent system, and decent definitions.

4H happened to be cold.

North's 3S (!!!) bid, nonetheless, happened to be I.D.I.O.T.I.C.

As usual.

Johnny Halfwit and Donald J. Dumbo EARN themselves yet another complete zero by totally blowing the "defence" and allowing NS to make an "impossible 10 tricks. GIBBO robots are hopeless and braindead. They stink as "bridge players".

Perfectly normal contract, perfectly normal result...BUT...the AUCTION of the always hopeless GIBBO trout in the North is typically ridiculous.

At his second turn to bid (having passed the first time), he makes the BIZARRE decision to bid ONLY two hearts...yet at his NEXT turn to bid, he decides that even though South has stayed forever SILENT after opening 1H, he (North) now MUST bid three...SPADES (!!!) - effectively REVERSING (!) and forcing his partnership to the four level.

Now, regardless of what you think of his two key INDIVIDUAL actions (2H and 3S), even his staunchest defenders (the army of the NAIVE!) have to admit that they are wildly inconsistent. How is it POSSIBLE that he initially thinks his hand is only worth a bid of 2H, which for all he knows could EASILY end the auction, yet a few seconds later, that SAME hand is NOW...all of a sudden...MAGICALLY worth REVERSING with 3S?

These GIBBO misfits are absolutely WRETCHED bidders. Two of the MANY reasons are that they have ZERO consistency and ZERO logic. They rot. They suck pumice. They are an embarrassment not just to bridge, not just to BBO, but to the WORLD.

Trick five: The contemptible GIBBO warthog in the West stupidly pops his club ace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY? Did this M.O.R.O.N. to end all M.O.R.O.N.S. think I was UNDERLEADING the jack...AND queen...AND king?

I know that the GIBBO robots, in addition being among the worst and most disgusting "bridge players" of all time, have ALSO frequently demonstrated that they are craven cowards, but even for THESE gutless pieces of trash, this is crazy.

Trick two: North overtakes South's spade jack with his queen so that he can shift to a diamond at trick three. A VERY uncharacteristically GOOD (!) play by the GIBBO robot in the North. Bravo. But note that EVEN on the VERY rare occasions where he does something good, he STILL manages to do something silly. Note that from 72 doubleton, he shifts to the...DEUCE!

Trick six: The GIBBO robot "declaring" in the East...DUCKS (!) South's club 10 by NOT covering with dummy's queen. Golly gee, I think the GIBBO "declarer" just MIGHT have dome better! (No, the "declarer" did NOT get a good score!)

No, Mr. West, WHATEVER you do, don't EVER lead your "partner's" suit (spades in this case). Why, you'd probably be kicked out of the GIBBO robot Union if you DARED to do such a thing.

I.D.I.O.T.!!!!

But thanks for the good score,...I.D.I.O.T.

Laughable, wretched "defence" by Donald J. Dumbo in the East EARNS him and his partner Johnny Halfwit yet another complete zero for their world-famous collection of failures, a total so overwhelmingly massive that it is unlikely any pair will ever come even close to catching them.

They are the greatest ever at...being the WORST.

It seems not only silly, but also a very bad PARTNERSHIP action for East to bid 2S after his "partner" West has bid 2C to show an unspecified single-suiter.

Of course, I have long believed that not only are the execrable GIBBO robots among the worst bridge players in history, but that they are also among the worst "partners" in history. GIBBO robots rot in so many ways.

3S: a foolish, overly enthusiastic call that doesn't even match the GIB definition. GIB/GIBBO sucks pumice...hand after hand after hand.

The hopeless "defence" that we have come to expect from Halfwit and Dumbo (as well as ALL other GIBBO robots, WITHOUT exception.)

Typically stupid lead followed by typically lousy "defence". Two recurring themes for these useless GIBBO pieces of trash.

After winning his spade...JACK (!)...at trick one, does Donald J. Dumbo continue the suit?

Silly question. He's a GIBBO robot (lowest of the low, worst of the worst), so of COURSE he doesn't continue it. He feels compelled to shift. I.D.I.O.T.

OMARHEUM has provided another hand. This one comes from a Just Declare game, so the auction and opening lead are MANDATED, which means that GIBBO recommends all bids in the auction and thinks they are absolutely perfect.

OMAR disagrees (as do I). He writes, tongue in cheek, "North deals and opens 1D, and East overcalls 1H. South...immediately...just knows that 6NT is the right contract. I wouldn't have known." He adds, tongue NOT in cheek this time, "South made no allowance for a light distributional opening bid. Exploring for a major suit fit must also be impossible (ha, ha!) in the GIBBO system." Then, back to tongue in cheek, he finishes with "Anyway, I made seven so all must be right with the GIBBO world. Ha, HA, HA!!!"

My comments:

The (recommended!) bidding is ridiculous - in other words, EXACTLY would you would expect from hopeless incompetent, braindead, piece of trash GIBBO robots. As OMAR indicated, South gave no allowance for a marginal opening and also did not bother investigating a possible spade fit.

This was a typically stupid, undisciplined, unscientific, unilateral, wild, insane leap to 6NT - the type of bid that these nauseating GIBBO dirtbags absolutely LOVE.

GIBBO is so totally clueless that it recommends (!) wasting every single bit of the available bidding space between...one heart (!) and...SIX no trump (!!!), vastly preferring to take a wild GUESS as to the contract. Furthermore, the crazy 6NT call does not even match GIB's own definition, which states that 6NT should show "22-24 HCP", while in practice South has "only" 20. The definitions of both 1D and 1H, BTW, begin with the usual useless, offensive, annoying, insulting gibberish that is a hallmark of the pathetic GIB definitions. The first three words for 1D are "Minor suit opening" and the first three for 1H are "One-level overcall" - all totally unnecessary drivel, as expected from the worst overall body of definitions ever written anywhere for anything.

Meanwhile, the egregiously stupid 6NT call is just rolling the dice. Maybe it will turn out to be the perfect spot...or maybe a grand will be missed...or maybe even a small slam will have no play...or maybe they will be in the wrong strain. Pure, unadulterated stupidity: a virtual trademark of GIB/GIBBO!

Now, OMAR did take all 13 tricks, but in NO way does that justify GIBBO's ludicrous recommended (!) auction. The cards happened to be such that OMAR guessed to take the diamond hook the winning way and later successfully double-squeezed his hapless opponents. For once, Frick and Frack were blameless on defence, since OMAR's fine declarer play prevented them from doing any harm.

I'm currently playing in a game with three robots, and something just dawned on me: GIBBO robots stink.

Just kidding. I think that epiphany actually dawned on me the first time I ever played with and against the disgusting abominations, and that same realization again becomes apparent just about every time I see the repulsive pieces of trash in action. They are the pond scum of the bridge world.

Why is East, against North's 3NT, leading a heart from his FOUR-bagger to the JACK rather than a spade from his FIVE-bagger to the ACE? Unless he would have led his ACE of spades, it would not have affected the result, but that's irrelevant to the question of why he chose to lead hearts.

The definition of South's double is the useless type of garbage we expect from GIB/GIBBO.

The "defence" by East is the usual type of garbage we expect from GIB/GIBBO.

I am currently playing another game at a table with three GIBBO robots.

I am currently noticing what I notice every single time that I play at a table with three GIBBO robots.

What I am noticing is that GIBBO robots are beyond a doubt the most useless, hopeless, imbecilic "bridge players" that I have ever seen in my life. They are infinitely worse than even the worst human bridge player I have ever encountered. GIBBO robots are such garbage that they give all garbage a bad name. GIBBO robots rot. They are an ugly scar on the face of bridge.
