I was playing Tartan where
2H=heart +minor
2S=spade+another suit
2NT=minor
This mean with both major we open 2sp
Reading some CCs of world class players i saw they open 2h with the majors (all the rest is the same.
I wonder which way do you think is better.
I think 2h with the majors is better because it has the same value of premption (they dont have spades so 2h prempt them just as 2sp would have)
and 2h give us the apportunity to play at the 2 level in heart.sp-2nt.

Those are not Tartan Twos Flame, never have been and never will be - anywhere, including NZ.
Look at Chris Ryall's web site. Ben has posted links in the past.
Tartan Two bids are as follows:
2H = Acol 2 in hearts, or weak 5/5-hearts/minor, or 20-22 NT (relay is 2)
2S = Acol 2 in spades, or weak 5/5-spades/another, (relay is 2NT)
Responses Over a next denomination relay - rebid naturally.
2NT is the big NT hand
a new suit is 5/5 and weak
Repeating your suit is the Acol Two.

In New Zealand we call them weak Tartans
We play 2H = H + another - 2S is pass or correct, 2NT strong inquiry
2S = S + minor - 3C is pass or correct, 2NT strong inquiry
Both show 5/5 or better, less than opening strength.
We put the Acol strong 2's in with the multi -
2D = either weak 2H/S, or any 8 playing trick hand, or 20-22 with a 5 card suit (5332)
This still leaves 2C for the absolute game force.
2NT = 21-22 with No 5 card suit
We still call it Acol. And it works.

I'm not excited about such 2♠ (or 2♥ with a minor or ♠) openings. When opening weak 2-suiters, imo it's best (when no brown sticker stuff is allowed) to show 1 suit for sure, and 1 out of TWO suits, so there's 1 suit opener never has. This makes it easier for responder to run or not.

I'd suggest not to play 2♥ as ♥+minor, cause that doesn't help much to keep opps from bidding their ♠ contracts. If you want Major 2-suiters, play 2♥ 44+M, and keep 2♠ with ♠+minor. This way, after 2♥, your p can signoff in ♠ or pass, he can invite, raise preemptive, bid game, investigate for whatever he wants,... If you really want to bid with ♥s, open 3♥, then they don't have a cuebid under 3NT as well And with ♠+minor, he'll also know what to do.
44+M frequency is twice as high as a 54+♥-m, so 2♥ 44+M is a great preemptive weapon!

Plus, 2H as 44 majors puts LHO under more pressure to bid, especially with short hearts, as he knows responder may pass.
