That is true, if LHO redoubles then defends with his 9-10 card spade fit we are in trouble. Kind of like how if partner jumps to 4 after the 1 overcall we are in trouble.

Frankly, my entire bridge career (such that it is) would be in indescribably gigantic difficulty if my opponents stopped to double me every time it would have worked best to do so.

Clear pass for me. Would overcall 1NT if RHO had opened in a major and my singleton was in a minor.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.
