On unmoderated rec.games.bridge, here are quotes from a current thread, the quotes all from yesterday or early today:

- Your assertion that maybe Meckwell would win more if they listened to you shows the height of your stupidity and ego.
- The gist of this sub-thread is that your hysterical attack on the 1D bid in question has been met with disagreement and silent derision, now not so silent.
- You continue to be a true genuine ape.
- The most pathetic thing about this is that you are taking isolated hands and trying to make a case against a systemic call that you don't understand.

Makes one happy to be in BBO forums, doesn't it?

RGB LOL.

My experience in the 90's when I participated that you had a lot of haughty Flight B players that mostly exchanged insults. Very little good bridge was discussed.

And this compares how with the insults of some of the prominant posters on these forums?

Thats an easy one, Wayne. Kieran, Bill and Richard P are far better players.

Now Ron, don't shorten yourself! :D

I must say I still learn a lot by reading these forums.

.... but right now it really sucks.

I object to that terminology.

Sucking isn't always bad. It all depends on what you are sucking, and who it belongs to.

Is it me, or has the quality of the posts rapidly gone downhill in the past few weeks?

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I feel like a lot of the new posters can't play bridge to save their life.

If this is going to be a legitimate site to post and discuss hands, the quality needs to improve. Maybe its never been as good as it should be, but right now it really sucks.

It looks like Justin is trying to compensate with his longer - and interesting - posts he is recently

No offense inteneded to Phil but a serious suggestion to authority.Phil and other like minded people might be allowed to moderate a section.He/they could filter out undesirable posts and posters.

I would never have guessed I was so popular, except with Cascade where I already had a pretty good idea how popular I was. I'm blushing.
