Then when East wins his diamond king at trick three, he decides to give away the whole heart suit. Just a TYPICAL "defence" from these fleabrained chowderheads.

It was irrelevant on this hand, since after the spade lead, and with the favourable layout, I was always going to be able to take three diamond tricks and 11 total tricks anyway, but WHY would West win trick two with his diamond QUEEN rather than his diamond NINE?

I think BBO is a fine bridge site that brings a good deal of information, entertainment, and pleasure to numerous people.

I enjoy playing the robot games and do so just about every day.

In short, I like BBO and I like the robot games.

I would like the robot games INFINITELY more if BBO supplied COMPETENT robots rather than the absolutely worthless GIBBO ones that plague this site.

If I liked the robot games even more - because they had BETTER robots than the current GIBBO trash - I would also like BBO even more.

I suspect that many BBO members and customers share the opinions that I have expressed here.

Due to the fact that I know all GIBBO robots play atrociously virtually all the time, I play much differently in robot games than I would in human games. I operate FAR more in robot games and I also tend to bid FAR more conservatively in robot games, because I know that although the GIBBO robots stink at anything and everything bridge-related, one of their countless bad habits is that they tend to overbid ridiculously.

Here's an example of what I wrote above.

Playing with a human, I would bid 3H (NOT 2H!) over North's 1H bid, because my South hand is worth 16 "total" points in support of hearts. GIB and GIBBO, of course, have proven countless times (particularly in their pathetic GIB definitions) that they have no IDEA about anything related to "total" points.

On this board, because I was "partnering" a disgusting GIBBO robot (nothing personal against this particular GIBBO robot, but they're ALL disgusting), I raised to ONLY two hearts.

Sure enough, Goober McStooge in the North made a game try with his pile of (in context) trash: a flattish 3-4-4-2, mere, aceless 10-count with only four hearts (and four LOUSY hearts). I, of course, accepted, having previously UNDERBID with 2H.

The point is that playing with these utterly hopeless denizens of the fish pond, you might as well be conservative because the foolish clowns will bid on with anything remotely resembling a LEGITIMATE game try, as this hand shows.

Pathetic GIBBO 2C structure on display, complete with typically bad GIB definitions. The system and definitions should be tossed in the same trash compacter as the robots.

South's 2NT promises "22+ HCP". Instead of this open-ended piece of garbage, why not put an upper limit, so that the partner of the 2C opener has at least SOME idea of his range? The same crummy definition also says that South is showing "23+ total points", so that TOO is open-ended, and totally useless because of it. Of course, ANY time a GIB definition refers to "total" points, it's useless anyway, since GIB has shown on numerous occasions that it lacks even a BASIC understanding of "total" points.

Not clear why North raises 3NT to 4NT, since he has NOTHING more than what his earlier 2S bid ALREADY showed. Additionally, he's disregarding his own GIB definition (what else is new?), since it promises "9-10 HCP" and he has only 8. Oh yeah, ALWAYS a good idea to lie...to your PARTNER. At least that's what GIBBO seems to think. Please toss GIBBO into a garbage can. Then cover the garbage can. Then bury the garbage can 10 miles below the Earth's surface.
