It is a show that selects from thousands who cannot sing a few who can sing a bit and then make millions of dollars out of them by making them stars.

hey everyone involved benefit and real talent comes out. It's not all that bad :P

Justin, I respect your bridge talent and forum comments.
With that said your taste in music Sucks! B)
Good Grief, the show is unwatchable .

If I understand this correct then Justin's avator was on the show.
So the show can not be unwatchable B)

With that said just bought the new Garbage CD and it is cool.

I saw Garbage this spring when they were touring to support the albumn.
GREAT concert. easily one of top handful of live events that I've ever seen.

However, I'm expecting that Sleater-Kinney will blow them away...
The Woods is a great albumn and the girls are (supposedly) on fire!

I just visited http://music.yahoo.com/musicvideos/ so that I could hear some Garbage :D

I listened and watched the video Bleed Like Me. A bit dark for my taste :P

I have stumbled onto American Idol while surfing and never heard anyone who could carry a tune, but Justine is so cute, who cares?
Lord, help me choose the words I use and make them short and sweet.
We never know from day to day which ones we'll have to eat.

Check out the videos for Special (NOT the live version). I'm Only Happy when it Rains, or Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go) for something a bit lighter by Garbage...

Better yet, check out http://www.sleater-k....com/index2.php

The video for Entertain and the MP3 for One Beat both rock...

Ok.. i have tried to set up a blog. I am using the PBN2htm program. This thing works ok, but for one thing. No matter who dealt, it always has WEST open the bidding. That is a problem because if north deals and opens 1, it shows west opening a club.

Anyone know a free application out there that converts lin, pbn, or some other file format to html? Also, the code that this thing produces makes a nice looking web page, but when pasted into the blogger thing, the hands no longer look so nice. Can fix it, but am hoping for an automated solution. Maybe cascade can make html table outpput an option in lincoverter.exe... hehe.. i will forward this message to him.

Ok, i have a work around, that seems to be working.

1) Download two utilities from Wonderful Richard Pavlicek, one is his BRIDGE FILE CONVERTER (BFC) that converts our Lin Files to Pavlicek's RPN format. The other is his RBN TO HTML CONVERTER (R2H) that publishs the file in html format.

You can put this in word, create a macro for getting rid of the c.gif, table.gif, x.gif, etc. I replace c.gif with <B>C</B>. You can link to a gif from these on the web if yuo like, but if you use very many it slows it down, so i stick with just letters. This is close to "automated" if you consider using two utilities, and then word with a macro to stip out the unwanted stuff.

An example of the output can be seen on my blog, in the "Winning with Cherdano"" post on my blog. It is not as pretty as the original html output from Pavlicek's program, but that is due to my stripping out the good looking images.

Still looking for an easier way, but at least this works fairly quickly

if linconverter outputs to plain text (which i believe it does, haven't played with it much) you can put that output in <pre></pre> tags to preserve the formatting and spacing. not as pretty as html, but might save you a few steps in the meantime.

Linconverter does plain text, and I tried plain text with a number of html codes like <code> and <pre> but they didn't work. All the spaces are taken out. I considered using global finid and replace to chance all space into nonbreak spaces with the nbsp (with ampersand in front of it).. but that makes the text hard to read in the editor.

did you include the closing tag for </pre> ?

if so, are you displaying the html directly or through some type of pre-parser or other?

here's a sample i just made from linconverter using the pre tags:

Yes, of course. I can make very pretty text displays that work well in browsers, but when you post it to the blogger page, it goes kaput.

ah, then you need to edit the .css file for your blog, presuming the provider allows you to do so (i think most do nowadays) or find a different host that isn't beyond your control. B)
