critique me? 3♠ could be competitive even though aggressive, not GIB's crazy reason.

It's too bad East didn't exit a club at Trick 3, hoping for a non-diamond return, and cross-ruff. The heart finesse could have been a back-up plan in case there actually was a diamond return at Trick 4.

You already bid every card in your hand with 2♠, but if you want to bid them again, I'm sure GIB doesn't mind
Back to your non-point, did you bother to look at the description for West's double. It says forcing to 3NT. East has to keep bidding to at least 3NT because EW are in a forcing situation. The raise to 5♦ looks questionable to me, but after the opening lead, could be made, despite your non systemic 3♠ bid.
