We (almost completely Uday if you must know) finally figured out what was wrong with the last 2 test versions. I am quite confident that you won't see any crashes with 3.9.6 (at least none caused be the same problems that were part of 3.9.4 and 3.9.5). For those of you who have experienced the "white screen" problem while looking at the Main Bridge Club list, there may be some relief as well (but I am a lot less confident about this).

Getting this version tested by as many people as possible is still important. We want to release a version for autoupgrade to the general BBO membership as soon as possible in an attempt to stave off the performance problems that we are so worried about.

Instructions for installing 3.9.6 follow. If you want to read more about what has changed since the last "official" release (3.9.3), please read the announcement about the 3.9.4 beta (but don't try to download that version).

Thanks to everyone who has been helping us with testing and special thanks to Rona, Cate, Dan, and Marc (and probably others I can't think of off the top of my head) for being to quick to try out each non-working version and for reporting the disappointing results to me. I don't think you will be disappointed this time!

IMPORTANT!!! You must exit the BBO program COMPLETELY before you begin the update process!

You can upgrade your BBO to the latest version:

or download everything (including the latest files) from scratch:
