IMPs scoring.

I'm slightly annoyed by this one because partner only needs Qxx xxxx Axxx xx to make a grand slam in spades, but we barely make 4 spades sometimes when he has - KJxxx xxxx Qxxx, where 6 clubs is a decent contract. But, if he has something like xx Kxxxx Kxx xx I want to stay out of slam.

If you pass, it goes 2 - P - 3.

2H, spades and a minor. I will bid clubs next, I wikk decide later how many.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Had a similar hand in a similar context today. 4 would describe the playing potential and overall shape. I voted Double but I think 4 is better.

Of the vote options, 2; but I also think both 3 and 4 are better unless they have specific other meanings (some play 3 as a running suit without a heart stop, for example).

2H - I have a 2-suiter, I show the 2-suiter.

I could bid 3H (or 4H) showing a freakier 2-suiter, but 2H will be working ok,
you have the spades, and you can repeat bidding hearts.

With kind regards
