nt with no stopper?

i know my bid is not correct and this position is rare but why bid 6N when we have a laydown 6S possible?

That is a common problem. We all expect that 4H/S in this case shows 16+ total points instead of 25.....

You do have 25 total points - its the sloppy programming that makes total points into high card points that is at fault.

What you both say is true but I believe, the more important problem here is the 6N bid instead of 6S.

I have seen this occur a number of times. For some reason, there are a lot of bids (especially jumps to game or slam) that GIB plays as showing 25+ HCP or 30+ HCP and, since it assumes that you have those values, it bids accordingly.

I have also seen many penalty doubles by GIB holding virtually no defense (sometimes a zero count 4333) because you have shown a big hand. The fact that you would double if you hold the big hand that you advertised does not appear to "occur" to GIB.
