Seems to me that 7-16 is a strange range; if West had game-forcing values opposite 11-14, he shouldn't make a bid that can be passed. Of course, with that game-forcing hand he would likely not have passed over 1...

There are many times when I know for a fact that the description provided by GIB is just plain wrong.

This is one of those times.

Clearly, 2 is competitive. How can a hand that can't overcall 1 on the first round have 16 HCP and a spade suit to bid?

Agreed. This is clearly what I said, when I reported above so that staff can correct the problem. Did you take an extra serving of prick pills today?

It's supposedly 7-9TP, it will be fixed.
