Don't have the diagram this time, but basically had the auction:
1♦-(dbl)-2♦-(2♥);
3♦

3♦ was "17-18 total points". I think this should just be competitive, and could be min with just a fifth diamond, or even just 4 diamonds with heart shortness or the right vul. Stronger hands can bid 2s/2nt/3c to game try. Was afraid to bid 3d lest partner take me onward and upward.

should be to play not invitational to 3NT
but in alot of cases its like GIB seems to forget that there
was a pass
