strange rebid after neg x

Shouldn't rebid 2d on a 5 bagger. Why not 2c, if it's going to bid over 1nt? If South doesn't double, but passes instead, North bids 2c; the double shouldn't really change that.

Not sure if 1nt by west is the right call either, my tendency is to just pass these since partner might be light and it's easy to be outgunned.

well it looks like on the info box the explanation just says hearts
but no use playing negative doubles if your not going to play them all the way
meaning unbid suits....maybe this explains the 2 bid

Almost no one plays negative doubles that way these days, it just shows the unbid majors. And even so, how does it explain 2, since it's not an unbid suit?

There is a bidding rule for showing a 4-card club suit, but for some reason it has much lower priority than showing additional length in the original suit.
