The description of my 3N bid is "2-5C; 2-5D; 4H; 2-4S; 15-17HCP; 18-total points". When I looked at my option to bid 4H instead of 3N, it had exactly the same description.
(1) Is there some subtle difference between offering the sign-off in 3N and signing off in 4H?
(2) Shouldn't both of these bid be showing a minimum, meaning that I shouldn't have 17HCP or 18 total points?

The description of 4C is "Help Suit Slam Try -- 3+C; 2+D; 4+H; 2-11 8421 HCP in C; 16+ total points". NorthGIB does not have 16+ total points.

Since I had lots of help in clubs, I went on. Admittedly, RKC would have been a better idea than blasting to 6, so I could stop in 5 after learning we were off a keycard and the Q, but it's already too late by then.
