I try to give partner a heart ruff, because:

- Of the two red suit, it's more likely that he has a heart void, because that gives them more honours in their long suits, so more reason to bid to the sice level.

- With a marginal hand, he'll be more inclined to open 4 with a heart void than with a diamond a void.

- If he has a diamond void, I may still make two diamond tricks.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I would say a heart lead since partner is more likely to be short in a major for his 4 call otherwise it is just a guess between and IMO

I don't see the rush for a diamond return. Will play a high heart for a possible underlead of the spade honors and a second heart ruff.

Hey, Fluffy: We are given that N/S are vul. But are we N/S or E/W?

I can picture that if a Heart lead for Partner's void is a winning play, we had better beat this thing as much as possible. We were making 5 or six :(

Too late to back up that visualization by pulling the Lightner double. (If it was one).

to be honest I don't remember the vulnerability, I think it was all vul now.

team mate tried Q wich if holds partner will give preference and we can give him the setting ruf. The technical play didn't work as expected, but as the cards lied it was good enough.

Was picturing a 4S opening bid by partner. Still down one. Diamond sets it more, but that wasn't happening.

Obviously if partner does ruff trick 1 he is never underleading his A, let alone his AK at trick 2.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Why? pitch the spade King on the Heart Ace , draw trumps and hook diamonds three times, whats the problem?
