If no one is going they should cancel.
So I am guessing yes someone is going. Although one probably won't be enough.

It is a very popular tournament with the players from Vancouver, apparently everyone who is anyone goes (and for those who just like to party), which is why I am going this year yippee

Heard great things about it - kind of like a Gatlinberg - cheap lodging and food. Sort of a hassle to get to however - six hours drive from Seattle (maybe 5 from Vancover(?)). When I looked at it, there was a local airport but the prices were much higher to get there.
I had a date for Penticton last year but it got canceled.

Tough to get to but cheap accomodations that are usually a 2 story motel on the waterfront facing another one with an excellent party space in between.
Many people booked their spot for next year on the way out of town.
A winery tour between sessions, a casino, the beach...... a bit of bridge gets played too.
