Hi!

I´ve finally won my first BBO tourney!, probably I am not on uday´s black list and he will keep track on my IP and stuff :) (just joking).

ok, ok, it was just an 8 pairs 16 board IMP tourney, and I was playing with a gold star, still I had something to do, didn´t I?

Oh yes, the hand (I know you don´t care about what was above written  )

Scoring: IMP

Opponents faield to bid during the whole bidding (and they could at low level) but you sadly land in 4 when 3NT seems better, and receive the J lead.

If West has one trump and East has 4, i hope the following line will work:
win first trick with Q, play A and K, duck 3rd ,
if East has 4 s, you can ruff 4th in dummy and finesse his trump, otherwise, you play 4th and pithching a from dummy, later ruff a in dummy instead.

Playing for 4-1 and either 3-3 or 4-2 with long with long .

Simple play: ruff a with 8 works, with the 10 at left it will work regardless you duck first or 3rd.

Discarding a may work, but you need to be very careful!, if you win A looking to ruff a easylly when East has 4 and play 3 rounds of you are going to fail: 4th for discard and switch. After you ruff a you are locked in dummy unable to draw the last trump before it gets promoted with a 3rd .

You can't duck the first diamond, or you might just find your 3rd one gets ruffed - unless you played off another round of trumps first.

If you play a round of trumps first, and give away a later, you won't be able to ruff a . So just play AK and exit one...

Btw, congrats Fluffy :P

if you duck the first round of diamonds then before you play the 3rd round you must draw a 2nd round of trumps.

Works with the layout as it is but fails if the hand with 2 diamonds has 3 trumps, which is more likely anyway by the law of vacant spaces.
