Today I resigned from table. I was still table host but no longer able to chat to table. I received a blue message that chat to table was not allowed. How to disable that feature? Help please!

The server now monitors a few users, and in one case, prevents any spec->spec chat at any table where she is seated. This is an anti-abuse measure.

When this happens - and it likely won't since the number of involved users is relatively small - there is nothing that can be done. Private chat to specs is fine, public chat to specs is prohibited.

Someday, if the abuse dies down, I may change this; in the meantime, I choose to afford this user an extra layer of protection.

Thank you Uday - I am sorry I dont think I understand your reply.

Does this mean that the server was protecting a player at the table from abuses? or
Does this mean the server surveys me and I am generally unable to communicate? or
Does this mean the server is protecting me from abuses? or
Does this mean something else - maybe something I dont need to care about?

Claus,

I think you mischaracterized what happened. You could, in fact, talk to the table I think. I suspect what you are referring too is that you could not talk privately to the kibitzers. This is the ban that uday is talking about in this thread and another. That at a limed number of tables. I didn't realize that this ban also applies to the players, but in hignsight, I suspect that is a good idea that if you are going to block kibitizers from chatting to each other, than blocking players chat to the kibitzers should be blocked too. You can always give public response to the table if you like.

It only applies to specs talking to specs., i think, not to the players.

And no, don't think about it. It is nothing to worry about.
