anyone know why 'chat' now defaults to 'chat to kibbers' .. is a small but very annoying 'feature' when kibbing at a 'bounce' game with friends..
(happens if y just type rather than clicking 'CHAT' button)

I think this is to stop people accidently saying things they shouldn't to the table (like, why did he bid 2, he's too strong for that, etc.) whilst discussing play with other kibitzers. Well, that's a side-effect, but whether or not it's the reason I don't know.

Too many accidents ( leakage of hands to table)...

To chat directly to table, use control-S before you start typing

I think it's a great feature. Avoids accidents spoiling people's game. What's the problem when your fiends are kibbing too? They will receive your messages won't they?

ty for explanations/opinions.. I had overlooked the 'leakage' risk ..still it would be neat if it was configurable ..so we can switch it off when the kibbers are allowed to say what they like ;)

Type CNTRL-S, a chat box opens that is directed to the table. Sometimes, if last chat was to table, next is...but even if not, CNTRL-S is a great way to open chat to table (save mucking with the mouse, and you can keep you hands on the keyboard).
