I would only support spades under extreme duress.

My initial plan is to get to a game in hearts. I bid 2 and, if it is forcing, 3 (if not, 4).

Foo commented that this hand has spade support and a good side suit as a source of tricks. Foo has it backwards. In spades, you have no guarantee that you will be able to use the heart suit as a source of tricks. There is no sure way to pull trump and cash the hearts. However, in hearts the heart suit is always a source of tricks and the spade suit should have ample entries to be used as a source of tricks. So I want to play this hand in hearts if at all possible.
