The finals of the USBF Juniors are being played today with a slew of BBF regulars.

On Chubukov: Karlson, KFay, Threenobob and Rogerclee.

On the Fournier team there's Jchiu.

Both teams had big 2nd segments in the semis. Good luck to you both.

I'm on record as rooting for Chubukov but its great to see so many familiar names in the finals.

Very exciting bridge yesterday, keep it up today team Chubukov!
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Both semi-final opponents conceded?

I don't know about any concessions made, but both teams have practiced extensively on BBO itself extensively the last few weeks.

The Fournier team actually includes three regular players on BBO:

Jeremy Fournier (jjbr)
Jason Chiu (jchiu)
Shuofei Geng (afroyo)

Scott Waldron also has a BBO account (dragon495) but I haven't seen him online much lately.

Fournier's opponents conceded after 32 of 48 boards (they were down a lot) so Fournier team is in the finals.

The other two teams are still playing their semifinal match. Chubukov is leading by a fair bit but they still have 16 boards left. The Chubukov team:

Victor Chubukov (karlson)
Eric Mayefsky (threenobob)
Kevin Fay (kfay)
Roger Lee (rogerclee)

Their opponents are Wilson:

Owen Lien (olien)
Kevin Dwyer (kdwyer)
Samuel Katz
Angela Collura
Zachary Brescoli
Kevin Wilson, NPC

It wouldn't surprise me if the rest of this team has BBO accounts also (but I don't know them).

I was very unhappy with the way I was playing in the beginning of the semi-finals. I had woken up fairly early in the day and concentrated way too hard in the RR. By the time the semi-finals came, I was completely exhausted. It is a good thing all of my lapses in concentration (like having no idea what Dwyer was discarding) cost only a handful of IMPs, and I wasn't given too many problems at the table.

Sorry, I didn't realize there was 16 more boards to play. On the summary both matches had the final stanza empty and were leading substantially, so I thought that there were concessions in both matches.

I think the Wilson team's Zach Brescoli is on BBO quite a bit (zman1).

I didn't watch the last 16 but I thought the bridge was very well played.

Congratulations to Victor, Roger, Kevin and Eric.

Thanks, we had a nightmare 3rd set at both tables. Playing 64 boards a day is very tough for me, and we were kind of awful. Fortunately for us, it is difficult to blow a 69 IMP lead in 16 boards.

Congratulations to Victor, Eric, Kevin, and Roger. Makes me proud that I have played with all of them online and Victor and Eric in person.

Congratulations also to Jason, Foster, Jeremy and Scott. Well done to get to the finals.

Thanks a lot everyone!

I've just got to say that while I thought Victor and Eric were the best partnership in the event, I thought Roger was the best player. Awesome job! Thanks for playing with me.

The whole last set I just kept thinking "don't blow this!" I almost did and while it's embarrassing to play like that on Vugraph I'm just glad we won.

Also I should say that participating in this forum has helped my game a lot in the past year so thanks to all of you too.
