What would 4 have shown the round before? Exclusion or something?

IMO 5 = 10, _P = 7, _X = 3.
Bidding on because of the zombie shape :)
Jtfanclub has a point about an earlier splinter :) but 4 was descriptive too :)

Well we are really stuck. A non-forcing pass would be perfect for this hand, but I don't think pass is non-forcing in this auction.

I think I'm going to pass. We've stated our hand and only have a bit of extras in that we have a void and a 5th trump..but I'm not willing to bid 5S myself. Given that we probably have a different number of ways to raise spades, our 4S earlier would be based on shape and not that much in terms of hcp, therefore I don't think our pass of 5H would be forcing.

Do you call that "a bit"?

Well, they sorta get cancelled out by Qx with our main suit only headed by QJT.

After I concealed my hand with 4 Spade, my pd cannot make an informed descission anymore. So I must decide myself and I try 5 Spade. After all, I have a "defensive-free" hand.

I think that an own 4 Heart followed by a pass of 5 Heart had shown this hand a little better.
Kind Regards

Roland

I think I made a great description of my hand the last round. I could have cued, or splintered, or whatever. Seems I have already shows a weakish 4-6 or 5-6 here. I keep looking and I don't see a 7th club, or a great club suit, or any defense to speak of.

This is a pretty obvious pass.

tough, but nature of opp's bidding may give the clue. if 2h was NF i'd pass, if it was F i'd think some more

Really tough one.

My gut reaction is that if I bid I'm hoping 5X-1 v. 5=

I'll pass and hope for the -1. 5X-2 is a serious threat.
