3H seems right on values. Spades might play better but I don't see a convenient way to show them.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

There may be a danger of dummy getting overruffed, so I will bid only 3. I am balancing with 4 if LHO raises clubs.

I'd just bid 3S, my hand rates to play a lot better in spades, and I'm willing to make a [not so large] overbid to get them into play. It's true we could get retardedly high, but I feel like getting to spades is very important opposite normal hands with partner.

Hi,

it is either 3H or 3S, I am currently leaning toward 3S,
but ask me tomorow and I may change my mind.

3H is a slight underbid, 3S a slight overbid, take your
pick.
The vulnerability wont help you with the decision
being green vs. red, ... maybe it points towards 3H,
because the 3C bid will be sounder.
What does help, is knowing the opening style of your
partner.

With kind regards
Marlowe

I'll just bid 4. There's a real danger LHO bids 5, in which case I think we'll be better placed if I had shown support right away.

3s works better on this hand.

north:
S: A x x
H: K J T x x
D: J x
C: A J x

sourth:
S: K Q x x x x
H: 9 x x
D: K x x
C: x

1H (3C) 3S here 3S would lead to better 4s contract instead of 4h.

thanks
