To me, the only thing that seems to make any sense for partner's double is ♦KQ. Surely he wouldn't double with good hearts, and I don't see how he can possibly have clubs (doubling with Kx or Kxx seems weird to say the least)

Karlson's point makes a lot of sense, I was thinking of a spade lead because we play double as asking for dummy's suit, but it's difficult to construct hands for opps that allow p to have two spade honours, and even if he has he need not double since he will get his spade tricks anyway.

Thinking about it, maybe the "lead dummy's suit" rule should not apply to notrump contracts where dummy has shown more than four cards.

What possibilities do the opps have to make 6 NT?
1. A running suit
2. Pure power.

In Case two, pd has no double in his hands, he does not even know that we have a sure trick AND help in spades. SO they have a heart stop and a running suit OR two or more Heart Stoppers and a nearly running suit. This suit is not Spade, they have at most five, nor Heart (If pd did not something very funny), nor club, due to my length there.
So the only suit I would never lead is Diamond.
I am quite sure that pd has something like AQ, JTxxxx,x,xxxx and he wants us to lead a spade.

I doubt that a partner has xx,Axxxxx,KQx,xx. This had make the opps bidding a little too optimistic (and they will fail anyway)

In this case they have 3 heart tricks + whatever diamond tricks, so unless diamonds are 9-0, you'll beat 6N anyway.

Sure, but x QTxxxx KQxx xx or the like is very plausible.

I would never, ever dbl because I have ♦KQ, so I cannot possibly believe pard has that. Since clubs can wait, I'll lead a spade.

Partner could have dbled ♣, so it's beween ♠ and ♦ and leading from that Jxxx is not very attractive...
