I don't really understand, if your agreement is that 2♥ shows like 10 HCP, then don't you have an automatic pass here?

I hate this agreement, but if I had it with my partner, I would adhere to it (well, on paper anyway.)

For me it does matter because I like to have a dialogue with my pd and not a monologue on my own and a guessing pd....

For me all hands from about 10 to 15 HCPS arein the middle range. But as others mentioned before, hcps is not everything, good suits are important:
Easy: KQJTx, KQJTxx,xx is surely a strong two suiter despite just 12 HCPs.

AJxxx, AJxxx, KQ, Q is still a two suiter in the middle range despite 17 HCPs to me.

I believe, that others will disagree, but I hope my pd is on the same wavelength with me.
