Has partner been misreading some books on Last Train or Exclusion?
4♦ is such a strange call when we hold such good hearts. If it shows shortage, as is likely, then they must have a black suit control that they could have shown.
In such circumstances, I'm going to use Keycard now. When partner makes slam tries with awful trumps, then you do not need much to go on.

Yes, either 4NT or simply bid 6H.
4D should deny a dead min, should show slam interest, and the q is,
what hand can p have, that justifies his bidding

New partners are always fun. I have no experience with partners style here so just doing my best

I think there is a lot to be said for it being a suit where you need a little bit of help.
You can bid 3♥ with other slam tries.

. And this is how I correctly interpreted it. Undiscussed so I was a little worred.I play 4nt spade cue, pard says its exclusion for spades.
