Has partner been misreading some books on Last Train or Exclusion?

4♦ is such a strange call when we hold such good hearts. If it shows shortage, as is likely, then they must have a black suit control that they could have shown.

In such circumstances, I'm going to use Keycard now. When partner makes slam tries with awful trumps, then you do not need much to go on.

Yes, either 4NT or simply bid 6H.

4D should deny a dead min, should show slam interest, and the q is,
what hand can p have, that justifies his bidding

#1 a diamond void
#2 55, but than , why did he not bid his 2nd suit?
With kind regards
Uwe Gebhardt (P_Marlowe)

New partners are always fun. I have no experience with partners style here so just doing my best :)
We have kickback on the card, with no discussion, of course.

5♠ (some form of king ask)

We need to tell partner that we have all the key cards and invite grand. If they respond with 6♣, then I can bid a Last Train 6♦. I respect a sign off at any point as I'm worried about spade losers.

Couldn't you at least have told him "no Jacoby nonsense, 2/1 to force to game with fit, nebulous in clubs if necessary" ? :)

Back tracking
Would 4C be a control or a second suit.
In this auction, I think it should be control. Partner disagrees but almost consents.

I think there is a lot to be said for it being a suit where you need a little bit of help.

You can bid 3♥ with other slam tries.

You said that kickback was on the card, so 4♠ is RKC and 4NT is a spade cue bid.

So 5♥ is two key cards with the ♥Q.

Yes I did :). And this is how I correctly interpreted it. Undiscussed so I was a little worred.
I play 4nt spade cue, pard says its exclusion for spades.

3N - serious?

Is it the same auction with 2♦ intervention?
