Am I entitled to be upset with the North bot

North's auction is, of course, ridiculous, but not at all surprising for a GIB/GIBBO robot. Their 2C structure is horrendous, and the robots typically have no idea how to bid. They frequently make these wasteful, unscientific, unilateral, undisciplined, ignorant multi-level leaps to 6NT. Note that the perpetually hopeless GIBBO robot is too oblivious and too witless to even adhere to his own GIB definition of 6NT, which claims that he has "14-16 HCP" even though he has only 10.

Definitions that do not match the actual hand has been a problem for robots for a while. I always thought that it would have been an easy fix that would have increased the enjoyment of robot games, but that does not appear to be the case. Best regards. Mike

I'm surprised it didn't lead a low spade and let you make it. 7N in the North is the only grand you have any possibility of landing against GIB. There's no way GIB in the West is leading a heart from Kxx.

GIB does often underlead honours. Was a better bet than a singleton king. I've often successfully finessed a lead
Not a high chance in either case
Just a bit sad for me and one other who trusted the North bot

My three main rules when playing in a game with three GIB/GIBBO robots:
1. Always assume that your GIB/GIBBO "partner" is a complete I.D.I.O.T. You will rarely be wrong with this assumption.
2. Always assume that your GIB/GIBBO opponents are complete I.D.I.O.T.S. You will rarely be wrong with this assumption.
3. Always assume that the GIB definitions will probably be best described by one or more of these terms: poorly written, inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, contradictory, annoying, useless, and insulting.
