What is the point of having bids if the robot refuses to interpret them

North could hardly have a better hand opposite my splinter after Drury - 11HCP, two aces and a king, xxx in the splinter suit. And yet it lamely signs off in 4♥. So why bother including splinters in the bidding system at all?

Clearly no-one at BBO cares about this sort of thing as it's been complained about for years.
