IMPs, what do you think is middle of the road for 5 and what if anything do you do now ?

4N rather than 5 would have suggested 6+ and 4 and/or 3

(weak NT Acol, if <15 1 is 5+ cards or exactly 4414)

You would expect double here to be flexible or explicitly penalty?

As a bridge problem it needs time for thought, but at the table 6 is already out of the box

I lot depends on the meaning of the pass over 4s. I play it as any minimum that does not wish to compete to 5h. X over 4s I play as extra values no heart fit. If you play this way then it becomes important for you to clarify that you have a GREAT minimum for slam and I would do that with 5N (denying a spade control 5s similar but promising a spade control). P must assume you have a dia fit as you can always convert to hearts at any level.

Playing with the above I need not worry over much about what P is doing since I can describe my hand very well and let them decide what to do.

With no agreement on what pass means over 4s we are in a bind. P can easily be pushing some and they would appear to have hit the jackpot with your hand. I echo 6d since a path to 7 is exceedingly difficult.
