On the tournament I direct daily, over 80% sounds the client plays to alert me are disconnection that are "fixed" in less than 5 seconds. I keep getting this alerts, but they happen to soon and the final result is that I end up ignoring them.

Before alerting me of a disconnection problem it would be much better to wait about 5 seconds for a reconnection before doing so. As it is now, there are so many that the alerts are meaningless.

I always ignore them. At tourney start, I announce:

��Please call director if a player is absent/red 1+ minutes without "BRB". 
Chat to TD usually missed if no call. 
If you need to leave, call TD "Please sub me".  
������TD only comes when called with button/menu.  
2 Robots? CALL TD!

This gives player a chance to return.
