In this hand, one East (not me this time) optimistically bid 7NT.
At our table, the bidding was 1S pass 4S. I brilliantly failed to lead away from the DA - or any D for that matter.
Luckily for East, it was matchpoints. They only went down 12.
South started with clubs - which worked out quite well.
Then, while North was busy discarding Diamonds, cleverly switched to Spade.
What could possibly go wrong?
