2N. I see three options. You can go for the MP 200 and pass it, but that is too big imo. Or you can bid 2N to show your stopper and a minimum hand. That's what I like, 3C could work out too.

2NT. My pips are not good enough to convert, not even at matchpoints. I could be wrong of course. Maybe we have 200 where no game makes our way. Declarer will score 6 diamond tricks and possibly an outside tricks.

A 2♦ overcall over a 1♣ opening is a great pressure bid, so if its frequently five cards I might chance a pass. 2N otherwise

2NT. Not much wrong with 3C, but I think 2NT is more descriptive. My trumps are under declarer so definitely not a pass

Hopefully I do this with bored expression, the same
expression after we scrible down the result 2DX +1.
The trouble is, they are red and we are white, which
means "weak" could be near opening strength.
And his partner may only been waiting to start
doubling me.
Maybe we it makes without an overtrick, and 180 is still
a good result for us.

With this hand I open 1C, since I intend to rebid 1NT after a major suit from partner. My clubs are a lot stronger than my diamonds, which is an added reason why I prefer the 1C opening,
Given that I intended to do this anyway, I see no problem with 2NT now. My partner was prepared for this response when he made a negative double

I think I'd pass.
It could go horribly wrong, but the hand is looking a likely misfit, so I want to stop at a low level, and I think there's a reasonable chance of a decent score in 2Dx.

A bit of an annoying hand. I was playing with a partner that is still learning. I passed partner's "quantitative" 4NT like a flash. I received a heart lead and careful defense took me 1 off. 5♣ is down as you can see, but in practice it made +1. Oh well.
