I notice that Swiss Teams has been added to the Web version of BBO. This is most welcome. Is there a page of instructions available covering running a Swiss Teams event in a Virtual Club on BBO. Failing that, can anyone advise as to how to set total boards and boards per round with respect to the number of teams expected in a tournament. How does the BBO Swiss Teams movement work?

Does anyone know what movements are used?

For example, are rematches possible?

And, if you run a Swiss Teams with ten teams and nine rounds, will you get a round-robin movement?
The Beer Card

I don't work for BBO and any advice is based on my BBO experience over the decades

I have been told that Round Robin does not work.

We did not see rematches so far but did not play more rounds than
1/2 number of teams+1

I don't know about the html version, but I tried a 5x5 board movement with 6 teams in the Flash Version, hoping for an all-play-all event, but there were re-matches in rounds 4 and 5 (2 teams played all the other teams, but the other 4 had re-matches). If the html version is based on the same movement, then I imagine you would get re-matches in a 10-team 9-round movement.

Are there any team events with ACBL sanctions? Ie. can we win masterpoints?

ACBL is starting to experiment with them in virtual club games. No idea if or when they'll start to sanction them more widely.
