Undoing a reputation

Is it possible to undo a reputation point when you realise what someone says is incorrect :)

I just tried on the above post and the answer seems to be no.
The right choice IMO.

No, it's not possible. We disable downvoting many years ago. This includes undoing previous upvotes.

To quote one of my favourite authors, Joseph Conrad: “As a general rule, a reputation is built on manner as much as on achievement.”

Given that I am only an advanced player in the lions' den of experts, it's nice to know that I have gained some brownie points, sorry reputation points, for being (I think) a nice bridge contributor :)

I understand the rationale for not taking them away. Somebody was just the recipient of a free reputation point from me :)
