In the latest HTML5 version will you still have keyboard shortcuts?

There's an option in settings for keyboard entry of bidding, is that what you're talking about? I don't think we have any other keyboard shortcuts.

Keyboard shortcuts are important for some people with disabilities and some elderly. There should be a complete set of shortcuts for site navigation, bidding, and playing.

Good idea for the future, but we're still trying to implement all the important features of the Flash version, and there's just one programmer doing most of the work.

I came looking for keyboard shortcuts because sometimes the trackpad on my laptop stops working mid-game. I could attach a mouse, but a few keyboard shortcuts would be very helpful. You can idiot-proof them (somewhat) using Ctrl or Alt, to prevent the cat from bidding for you......

I tried to find out about the keyboard bidding/play setting, but couldn't find anything. Is there documentation on this?

Thanks.

Please, maks key shortcuts. Old OKB had has this for more than 15 years. Shouldn't be a problem for BBO.

There is already a perfect solution : “BBOalert” browser extension

Installation Firefox
https://addons.mozil.../addon/bboalert

Installation Chrome
https://chrome.googl...lkeemegdhehnlcf

The basic functions of BBOalert :
- recording of alerted bids. Recorded bid explanations are then automatically retrieved when the same bidding situation occurs. You don’t have to repeat the same explanation.
- you can define keyboard shortcuts

This is only the top of the iceberg. There are many sophisticated features with only one aim : to automate as much as possible the alert procedure. For more information, see the project page :

I don't use it myself - but the programmer in me promptly asks 'does it reset when the opposition changes?'

BBOalert allows to enclose portions of code in optional blocks (like functions in a computer program) which can be enabled or disabled. This can be done manually in function of opponents' system or automatically for seat- or vulnerability-dependent openings. In the same file you can define which conventions are you playing with which partner and select them all at once. Skeleton of code where you play ACOL with John and Standard American with Joe and where you use two different defences for the 1NT opening :

Option,system ACOL,John
... code for ACOL system
Option,system SAYC,Joe
... code for SAYC system
Option,vs1NT 12-14
... code for the defence against weak NT
Option,vs1NT 15-17
... code for the defence against NT

Installing BBOalert does not cost you much : just one click. Consult the README file on the project page. You will see how versatile is the tool. If you find, that some aspects of alerting on BBO are not covered, let me know.

I have already installer BBOAllert. It works excellent. But the thing I miss is keyboard shortcuts for playing cards. E.g. c5 for playing 5 of club.
