I have played several tourneys and no doubt will get used to the interface but I must say unles i am missing some buttn the print is miniscule and people with compromised eyesight will be definitely at a disadvantaged. Trying to read table results is very difficult as is trying to see how others played the board. Also I wasn't able to register with a partner then go to entries to see p's profile prior to playing. Any help? Also can't see all12 bds at once w/o altering playing surface.

All ok, some features is on another place but in fact all is ok. But, there have one thing that irritates me. In new version has some lag when I'm going throw menus, small lag is also when playing card on the table. On the same computer there aren't such lags on the previous version. Maybe that's only animations but that will be great we can switch off them if we don't wish it.

UPDATE: I switched off animations on account menu but there are still lags, shorter lags but them still exist.

I love the double dummy feature, but have the same eyesight problem. I can hardly tell the difference in the colors or see the minus sign.

There used to be a way to make green blue red and some other color as the suits presumably it is not still there but would be easy to add I would have thought.

I miss the ability to kib one person only. Also, the teaching table options seem fall far short of the options on web version.

think the warning signs should be placed top of the playing area.where it is in the bottom right hand corner makes it easily missed. i refer to the tourneys that are time restricted

You can still kib one person. Right click on them and select "Kibitz". To undo this, right click again and select "Show all hands".

Which options are missing?

when i used the new version a few weeks ago - I could not turn on the option to confirm bids/cards played. That may have been fixed by now. Has that been changed? I have not used that version since.

Most browsers support Ctrl + (hold control key and hit the + sign) to enlarge ("zoom") what you see on your display.
Crtl - makes it smaller.

I really like the new html5 version... many of the best features of the "old" (windows client) version and the flash version...without the flash, and with https, to boot!

V3 is also quite fast! Some of the features moving around will take some getting used to.

As soon as voice/audio commentary at vugraph and teaching tables is ready, I may abandon the old version for good.

For network admins: are there any ports that if allowed through a firewall might speed things up (other than the default ports 80/http and 443/https)?
I know when I allow port 1935 for the flash version, traffic flows much better and reduces hiccups for the voice commentary.

The html5 version just needs 443/80 and websockets.
The 1935 port you mention is for the voice solution in the Flash client, so it is not applicable.

When you select a hand, there's an "Other tables" button in the hand viewer that pops up. This changes the list of hands with a list of other tables for that hand.

After the play of the hand starts, is it possible to review the bidding?

Maybe I do not know why the upgrade was made - what was so convincing. And if there were some days that old and new versions were available why it is not possible to stay with it (two versions).

Still I think some things are upgraded which I do not like. And some are downgraded.

Here I could find:

Benefits of upgrading:
NEW! Vugraph voice! Hear your commentators.
You get more cute emoticons to use when chatting with your friends.
You get to share a picture in your profile.
You get to play in more free tournaments.
Bidding and Teaching tables have enhanced dealing software.
We give you a way to manage your offline mailbox.
You can sort your friends into different "categories".
If you have a big monitor, you can make the cards appear really big.
There is a powerful hand editing tool, free to use. You can easily create advanced bridge movies with this it.
Using the new version, "Help me find a game" offers more flexibility and a better algorigthm for matching players.
You can only play Bridge Bingo if you are using the newest BBO version.
For TDs - directing interface is improved.
Team matches are presented in a format like normal club tables. No need to have all 8 players present to create your match.
Table and tournament hosts are able to block players who bail a lot!
BBO news is always visible. No need to click here and there to read the news.
If you have a smartphone or tablet PC, you need to use the new BBO!
So much more. New features are added to the new BBO version very often!

I think that the use of smartphone or tablet PC is crucial here, but why it is not better for PC users?

And yes, I have found one positive:

It still works on my old Windows XP notebook! (really strange)

Greetings, jazzek

The page you found is not about the current update. It's about switching from the old downloaded Windows application to the Flash version. We're now replacing the Flash version with an HTML5/JavaScript version.

Just now I am watching History and my last board and I can not believe (once more) that it was so easy to spoil it.
Results above the table are twice bigger than expected and the table below is twice smaller than expected.
Just make it as it was. Is it so difficult?

Greetings, jazzek

Writing software that looks good on desktops and is still usable on phones is tricky.
