Moscito reloaded.
* A multi pass adapter to Moscito relays (or your favorite relay system)
* Open any 8+ hand and many 4-7 hands.
* Precise definition of FG situations vrs INV situations.
* Balanced hands are 1 point wide, so no invitational sequences are requiered.
* Fun.
Opening bids:
Pass: 13-16 or 0-7 any or Balanced 17-18
1c: 8-12 4+h can be balanced or any three suiter
1d: 8-12 4+s unbalanced
1h: Any 17+ or a strange hand.
1s: 8-12 without a 4M and unbalanced
1n: 11-12 balanced any
2c: 8-12 both majors
2d: 4-7 weak 2 with 6M
2h/2s: 4-7 weak 2 with 5 cards not 6
2n: Good preempt in a minor.
3c/3d: Ugly preempts
3h/3s: Good preempts
3n: Minors
Responses:
a) Pass (13-16 or 0-7 or 17-18 balanced)
pass = If you want to pass with 0-4 HCP go ahead! Opener is
limited to 18, normally 13-16 HCP.
1c = relay with 12+ hands
1d = 0-7
Then power sequences 1h=18+ others 12-17 and natural
1h+ = 13-16 moscito responses to old 1c 15+ opening GF
situation (1h=s,1s=h,1n=d etc) 2c=special response balanced
17-18
1d = 0-7 Negative, since pass can be 0-7 too we are in a fert situation here
pass = 0-7 too (rescue sequences begin use your favorite fert rescue sequences)
Others = 13-16 and natural. Natural bidding is used.
Others = 8-11 and natural. Natural bidding is used. (INV+ situation)
1c opening (8-12 4+h) or (13-14 balanced)1d = relay 13+ (INV relay)
1h = Moscito 1h opening minimum 8-10 not game interest
Now 1s = game forcing relay
Others = Responses to 1h opening non forcing now.
1s = three suiter
1n = Balanced 13-14 (Your NT structure)
Others: Direct as after 1h-1s with 11-12 hands (never balanced) GF situation
1h = Any 0-7
Now 1N=longer minor
Others = 8-11 moscito responses to 1h opening
c) 1d opening (8-12 4+s) or (15-16 balanced)
1d = relay 1+INV RELAY
1s = unbal with 4+s minimum 8-10
Now moscito responses to 1s opening
1n = relay GF
1n = balanced 15-16 (Your NT structure)
Others: Direct as after 1h-1s with 11-12 hands (never balanced) GF situation
1s = 0-7
1n = longer minor
others = 8-11 moscito responses to 1s opening with 1nt as natural
d) 1h opening (17+ any if balanced then 19+ or a strange hand)
1s = negative 0-7
1n = 19-21 bal
2c = Natural with C or D 19-21
2d = GF
2h/2s = Natural 19-21
2n = 22-24
3x = Strange hand with shortage in the bid suit (8+ one-suiter 6-5 or better two suiter, about 3/4 losers)
1n+ = Moscito positive responses 2 levels up (8+, GF situation)
e) 1s opening (8-12 unbal no 4M)
1n = relay 13+ any INV+
Responses as in Moscito.
Others = non forcing but constructive. Responses to moscito 1s.
f) 1n opening 11-12 balanced
2d GF relay with or without slam interest. Balanced structure.
2c = Non forcing relay. Opener can actually pass with 5 clubs.
2h/2s = to play.
2n+ = GF non slam interest sequences Nordgren approach
(You can play your favorite NT structure instead of course)
g) 2c opening 8-12 majors
As in MOSC
h) 2d+ openings as in Mosc.
After 1NT 11-12 or 1c-1d;1nt 13-14 or 1d-1h;1nt 15-16 or 1h-1s;1nt 19-21 or pass-1c;1n 17-18 we use the following structure for 2NT+ bids:
2NT = GF with a 5 card major (opener bids 3h with 3h 3s with 3s and 2h)
3c = GF with 5/4 in the majors
3d = GF with 4/4 in the majors
3h = GF with 4 spades
3s = GF with 4 hearts
3nt = to play no 4M or maybe 4333
