Pard opens 2S in first seat. The two most popular methods to investigate game are Ogust and feature ask. I've thought about the idea of using 2S over 2H and 2N over 2S as a losing trick count ask and step responses to show loser count. In most instances - (there are always exceptions) - a weak 2 opener will hold 6, 7, 8, or 9 losers. By subtracting cover cards, you would know instantly whether game was a good bet. Wouldn't this be more accurate than any of the current methods?

using 2sp over 2h instead of 2nt is good if the space matter, for example if you play 2h-2s/2nt to ask for short suits or good side suits, you would be better with 2sp then 2nt since you wont be already in game when partner responde 3sp.
so whenever the responses structure include 3sp bid over which you arent sure you wont to be in game, you are better using 2sp then 2nt.
About whats best over weak two i dont know, ouguest include quality of the suit, which could be very importent too. Responder is strong here, knowing about fetures in side suits or singlton might tell him alot about the location of his points. knowing about losers count might work sometimes. Iv seen more complex systems but i like simplicity.

A hand that wants to bid ♣ naturally after a weak two doesn't seem to come up anyway. As I cannot remember responding 3♦ to 2M either so maybe 3♦ should mean: Tell me which minor you have stopped, if any.
