This auction doesn't happen too often in real life but it is extremely common with a GIB partner. In one way, it's good. It is almost always best to rebid 2H when possible rather than 2 or 3 Spades when holding a good hand. But when you are weakish, you are often unnecessarily too high. I would guess that when have rebid 2H with GIB, its next bid is 4H over half the time. And often, 4H is a clear overbid - a recent example is x, T9xxx, JTx, AKxx. I got above average by holding 4H to down 1.
Interestingly I don't ever recall GIB raising to 3H in this situation - the clear-cut choice in my opinion with this hand. I should note that given the 1NT response, GIB bids the same way - as it should - whether it is a passed hand or not. Anyone have an example where GIB raises to 3H here?

Thanks for reporting.
It will be checked about GIB's behavior about 1♠/2♥ and raising to 4♥,
but i.e. the hand in question having 4 than 5 trumps would raise to 3♥.

x T9xxx JTx AKxx seems like a standard jump to game to me, not a bug.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
