Here bizarre conversation:

South bid 2NT :I have minors with 15TP plus,forcing.
North cuebid 3 : I have 16- TP( actually I guess Gib says 10-11hcp with a minor fit),game force.
South bid 4 :twice rebiddable minors with 25 TP!
North cuebid 4 again :2-card+ only with 6-16TP
Bbradley6 says :how bizrre bidding?how bizarre explanations?

I think this is a bug.

I think I should stop reading this forum. I am getting depressed reading all these threads where GIB takes utterly ridiculous actions and/or the bid explanations are nonsensical. Fortunately GIB does OK on 90% of the hands and it's possible to play an enjoyable round of bridge in most cases.

This one really does take the cake. Partner cuebids and your minimum rebid is somehow supposed to show massive values. I guess you have to pass the cuebid with less than 25!!!

iandayre, it's not depressing, it's fascinating. People rarely post about GIB's brilliance (except for Fred for a short while), but think how routinely it does stuff like squeeze you for an overtrick. Always remember the fact that a pair of even basic GIBs finishes over 50% in BBO's tournaments.
Also, if you look at earlier threads in the forum, you'll see the problems are getting "smaller", in a way. It's been a long time since GIB passed me out in a cue bid, for instance.
