Basic robot from Bridge 4.

Gib W cuebid 2 shows good fits in ,but it will be no use if against opp's 2 contract,strangely I used to make penalty double,Gib partner often change my decision at higher level.I am wondering why Gib's penalty decision is so hasty after my redouble.

Yes I think the two GIBs have a misunderstanding about the meaning of the pass following the redouble. If you had passed it is unlikely that W would have passed also with it's 7-card support.

ATB - 100 % West. It knows it has almost no defense in , which it has implied by cuebidding.

It also knows 3 will be laydown for EW and that 3N is probably good..

The explanation of xx doesn't say anything that wasn't already specified in the explanation of 1. I wonder whether this accurately reflects GIB's understanding of the call.

Note that the double is inconsistent with the 1 opening: it shows two clubs.
