find 3N?

3N makes, but that may not mean that it is the place to be. I think it is, though. Yes it could fail spectacularly if C:K is wrong, but it is better than 50% I think.

My choice of 2C may not be to everyone's taste. I figured that especially lacking a 4th Spade I would rather bid 2C this round and then X hearts for t/o next, than X now and then later X again or bid C. Anyone know what GIB would have done in South seat?

The announced strength of 3C is maybe a little high for me. What would 2H have meant?

Anyway, 3C comes back to me.

At this point I mouse over 3H and it says that it SHOWS a H guard. I would prefer it to deny.

Check out the announced strength of 3D!

Anyway if nit bidding 3N over 3D, why not 3H?
