this is a hand, where I was proud because I executed a nice end-play. But surprise it got only 11%. OK, most of the declarers got lead in a black suit and had one more trick from the beginning.
Some EAST went up with the A of ♦, when the 6 was led.

My deliberation to finesse the J was:
A priori it is a pure guess 50%-50%
If WEST has The A of ♦, he may go up, with the Q he must play low. Therefore the chance is better for the finesse (and I have enough to discard).

Based on the opening trump lead would lead me to think the opening leader had no more attractive lead. It strikes me that I would not be overly concerned that I made a trick less playing imps. Many might pop the A when a D is played, but I can't see why you would not play K given the lead, as well as the K provides a great chance of not losing the trick.

This is matchpoints... A couple of issues...

1) I agree with bob on the diamond play.

2) you got an unfriendly diamond lead, you need to strike back

3) What you really need to do is take the "free" club finessee. If it loses, you throw a spade away on the club ace (East can't lead through you spade king). On this line (after club hook), you will make five because of three lucky situations that keep teh opponents from stopping you from winning 11 trikcs.. First, West has the spade T9, so your eight forces WEST to win, and he is out of trumps. So you ruff 2C and 1S in dummy. Second, Even if East wins the second spade (say you lead spade ace), he leads a diamond, you cover in dummy, this give you enough entries to establish and when two long diamonds (as you did), but you gain the club trick. The third lucky one.. is the diamnd ace comes down with two ruffs.

So did you miss something? Yes, you missed the risk free club hook.

"11%" indicates matchpoints, but table says "IMPs". I'll assume MP's.

I might have rose with the K♦. Pretty normal for LHO to duck holding the ace, and the trump lead is a hint he has it. But having misguessed ♦'s, you need to take the club hook. Very unlikely that you can drop ♠Ax or ♦Axx (after the misguess, although I can see it happens, but it creates trump control issues). So you need a parking place for that little spade.

Ben I got the awsome heart lead. Not diamond.

I went wrong thinking the opening leader had found the best lead, I was not thinking of that he made the least bad lead. Ty Bob, for this point.

The "free finesse" in clubs isn't so free as it seems, if the finesse loses a second heart will come back and I'm -1 in 4♥.

Its so hard to follow the game like that, scorlining up and down, i didnt even found the endplay you mentioned so i will response more generally. it make perfect sense that you got a bad score here since your opponents had many chances to make mistakes and didnt make them, you might have taken a very smart line, but other lines like finnesing the club or playing to the K of diamond would have getting you atleast as good result.
This doesnt mean your play was wrong.
