GIBs forced when players leave

I beleieve it is extremely boresome to have GIBs forced upon vacant places in the middlo of hands and even during bidding. I can't see no improvement in that. Sometimes they take place, get stuck for quite a time and no way to boot them...
Whoever made that change, I pledge for setting back as before.

Can't the table host simply click "Redeal" to remove the GIB?

But on the other hand, imagine you're in the middle of nice but hard game. Or more likely declarer of such contract loses connection.

Sitting new player who's unaware of the past 6-7 cards and makes silly mistake and your slam goes down. Or opponent's slam, which would be unfair for left opponent or whoever credit for that game is.

Is it better?

And yes, ask for redeal will swipe off temp-GIBs from the table.
