No jury would convict me.

[[ minor point, you can not post names of players and then suggest it is ok to kill them. Second minor point, if the purpose was to seek auction advice, names would not be needed either -- inquiry ]]

Reason for edit: remove names of other players...

Looks to me more like a case of E and W deserving one another. While I certainly can't agree with the 2 opening, why on earth doesn't W bid 4 to show a good raise to 4?

Maybe because I wasn't interested in declaring 4. With the people I end up partnered with nothing is forcing.

4 asks East to join the party and make decisions, although this could be a good idea, it is not often a great one, opponents enjoy more the info you provide bidding 4 that partner.

Opening weak 2 with 6-5 is one of my pet peeves, I think it is an awful mistake. 6-6 is just ridiculous.

I do it. It tends to be ok unless it goes all pass (and maybe then). I'll take another call given a chance and have agreements to do this flexibly.
Though admittedly, it does feel silly to open 2 with a hand that can make 4 opposite x, Axxx, xxx, xxxxx
I think the main issue here is that the east hands was too strong for 2. 1 and then the minimum number of hearts at each turn is probably better.
My partner and I have a rule that we never pass with anything this interesting.

He has a lot of work to get to 12 tricks. I mean if partner doesn't have some distributional monster, the best you can hope for is AQ 6th and the Q of hearts and a major suit J. That's 12 tricks if the king of diamonds is right, both majors come home, and partner doesn't have a stiff diamond.

The point isn't just to make bidding 6 easier...it's to help partner out of they bid 5 over 4, for instance.

That strikes me as a very good reason for not bidding 4 on this hand.

AQxxxx, QJxx, any 3 small cards in the others is the most plausible decent 6, add J or 10 to make it very good. If it's in style to open that 2, then I consider 4, that would be a 1 opener for me so I'm happy with 4, that said I open 1 here too.

I'm pretty happy to nail 5 on my own.

So you're playing pickup with a random player on BBO. Fifth hand in they open something you disagree with and you happen to miss a slam. For this you not only leave the table (probably after some choice comments about their level of play), but post the hand and their name on the forums and suggest homicide? From their results, your partner looks like an intermediate player. Their profile says they are an intermediate player. And it's a meaningless pickup game. Maybe relaxing a bit might help.

With such people 4 is usually Gerber, the only forcing bid in their book.

No, you have it backwards. The person berated me for my call and then booted me from the table.
