As West I would open weak 2/ multi if available.

Furthermore I am surely bidding 4, it will help partner to make the right lead and will allow him to sacrifice if he has a freak.

Is there anything specific you are looking for comment on on these boards or are you just posting all of them?

I would have opened 3H with the West hand. Would like better spots but that's my style. Any reason your pard did not open 2? The rest of the auction seems normal, though West might raise .

Nothing specific at all, I have posted all the hands. What I thought were some of the most mundane boards have resulted in a lesson for me so I am not about to use any of my own filtering.

When we open with a pre-emptive bid in 1st or 2nd seat partner expects more concentrated values, this hand does not match our style.

It would never occur to me to open the West hand 3.
